Curiosity in Action
At St Mary’s, we organise our Inquiry learning around a central theme and a “Big Question” to guide student exploration across the Victorian Curriculum. We strive to have inquiry learning that is rich in knowledge, dynamic and interactive.
A big picture approach to our Inquiry units aims to bridge the gap between subjects, connecting students to:
- Digital and Design Technology
- The Humanities (History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship)
- Health and Physical Wellbeing
At St Mary’s we believe in developing the whole child beyond facts and figures, we prioritse the development of essential life skills. We are always in pursuit of fostering learners who are:
- Critical and Creative Thinkers: Ready to solve complex problems.
- Ethically and Interculturally Capable: Respectful of diversity and global perspectives.
- Socially Aware: Recognising their personal potential and their role in the community.
