At St Mary’s, we aim to build confident and capable mathematicians. We support all students to achieve success by developing their understanding across Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, and Statistics and Probability.
Our lessons are carefully structured to introduce new concepts clearly, with teachers guiding and supporting students as they practise and apply their learning. We encourage curiosity, problem-solving and perseverance, helping students to see mathematics as both meaningful and enjoyable.
Students engage in approximately 5 hours of Mathematics each week, building strong skills, understanding and confidence across all areas of the curriculum.
